[Request] Attic Access Solution

I recently bought my first house and one of my biggest complaints is that there is no attic access. My kitchen has a vaulted ceiling and the rest of the house is a normal ceiling. I don't have anywhere that I want to put an attic ladder and what I'm wanting is a recessed area for my cats to lay and watch me cook but behind it it opens up so I can use a ladder to get in there and do the other work I have planned for the house. I am striking out on what to use for a door (has to be triangle in shape) that will be stylish and funtional. I'm not that creative with wood but I can do or learn just about anything. Any pics or suggestions on what I could do?

Tree ring art - What's required?

I'd love to get my hands on some tree ring art. I can't find any prints online and I live in the pacific northwest where trees are everywhere so i figured I'd do it on my own.

As a person who has never been artistically inclined I have no clue what equipment would be required to make something like this happen.

Specifically, the type of paint, brushes, paper, how long to let it sit, etc.

Mini Review of the $12 Pivotal Living Life Tracker 1

I got my Pivotal Living Life Tracker 1 setup today. For the price, this gadget is extremely competitive with the Fitbit Flex. The packaging was pretty good too, some of the printed text was overly dramatic which is a minor complaint.

The publisher's name associated with the app in the App Store is different than the name on the box, but they share the same address. I find details like this reckless on the product team's part, but no direct impact on the features of the wearable.

So far this fitness band exceeds my expectations and it's surprisingly comfortable.
