Hello!
Not my usual account, as I'm not looking for points, just a conversation!
This is my shed I built, and kids playhouse/toy storage I built last summer. Sorry about the album being large but I took these pictures in case it needed inspecting (I'm not required for it here, but a new homeowner might be interested in these for verification). I'm looking for things I can improve on, this was my first build, and although I am proud of it, having done it by hand by myself (hanging the trusses alone was the most difficult part), I know there are things I might of missed.
Some info not pictured, the 8 posts its on are in concrete 12"(or more) wide by 2 feet deep, as you'll notice with the subfloor mounted it's just slightly off, getting those posts square was a HUGE pain in the butt and because the center had a bunch of stumps there I used a 4x6 to assist the support. Shed is 12x12, deck is 12x14.
Some materials used, 15 year roofing, and reclaimed cedar from 50 years ago from inside a mechanics shop (as you'll see some oil stains on the playhouse), This was a fun project and I learned quite a bit, I don't do trades and learned everything from either trial and error or those handy Youtube videos!
I wanted to share, because Reddit. I got a little lazy with the playhouse build, deck, and fencing and did not take too many pictures. Deck was installed with 8 block posts, fencing 12" by 2ft concrete (just to hide the compost piles behind it). I do know some of my measurements were off by an inch, throwing some of my flow off, lesson learned! Looking forward to any questions and tips for my next one, thanks for reading.
I am also sorry for my spelling, potato camera, and general internet/grammar uselessness.
