Ideally I would like to keep the total cost under $50, though I would be willing to go over if the increase in sound quality/volume/easy of use/et cetera is truly justifiable (up to $100). Now to the details...
I have a pair of unpowered speakers lying around that I would like to upgrade into a home audio system. My plan so far is to purchase an amplifier of sorts, though I am unsure of what amp specifications I should be looking for. The speakers list an impedance of 6 ohms and a maximum IEC input power of 5 watts. From some brief browsing on Amazon I have come up with a couple promising choices (this and this) and thus have come to /r/diy for advice on which would be the better decision, or better yet if there are any other options better than my current.
