Are there any good ways to add filler/support to cheap IKEA furniture?

Context:

I have some IKEA Lack tables I want to use in a home server rack DIY project. However, I'm afraid that if I stack too much that the bottom piece(which will be a top piece from a spare Lack table)will break under the weight. Is there any way I can give it extra support? Or would it just be better to get an actual solid/thick piece of wood and build from that instead?

On the same note, the legs of the IKEA Lack tables are mostly hallow. Can they be filled and what product and method would I use to do it?
