Can I pour epoxy over asbestos tile to encapsulate and level?

I am about to buy a house built during the post-war era (Late 1940s) that has some asbestos tiles in the basement. These are the ugly 8"x8" or 9"x9" tiles you see in some homes from the 40s and 50s in the US. I am planning on covering the tiles up rather than attempting to remove them as that comes with a whole slew of extra work and precautions. From what I understand asbestos is relatively safe unless it is crumbling or disturbed. Some of these tiles are cracked.

My initial plan was to install a moisture barrier, padding and laminate over the tiles but like I mentioned I have noticed some of them are cracked and I don't want this to become an issue for the laminate later on.

My new plan is to pour a self leveling epoxy over the asbestos tile which I believe has the added benefit of sealing it in and leveling the cracks. Has anyone done something similar before and would this be considering encapsulating the asbestos?

I feel like I could add laminate later on, but an epoxy floor for the basement might look fine for a while.
