I have a functional gas log fireplace insert in my house. We bought the house new about 7 years ago and we were the first owners. I recently bought a blower for the fireplace and was about to install it. I checked the outlet below the unit for the blower assembly and found that it had no power. It is wired with what appears to be 10-2 wire but has no power. Is there something that I'm missing? Should this be working or is there some sort of trick that I've missed? I even turned the fireplace on and checked the power just to make sure that there isn't a "cut off" for the power when the fireplace isn't on. Thanks in advance for your help!
