Here's the video I'm trying to follow.
I'm having trouble with the syringe and tubing part specifically.
If you haven't seen the video, I'm basically just trying to get two syringes connected together by a flexible tube. And it needs to be water tight to a degree that I can press the plunger of one syringe and the fluid will force the plunger of the other syringe into the open position.
In the video he says he uses 1mm syringes and 3mm tubing. And he specifically says he acquired these through amazon.
So the first issue I had was that amazon only lists syringes at sizes in milliliters or cubic centimeters. The tubing was a little easier because they list both the inner and outer diameter.
I ended up buying a cheap pack of 10, 1ml syringes. They're the leur slip lock, the kind with the taper at the end. And some tubing with 1/16" inner diameter. The problem is they're the same size. I can't get the tubing to fit over the end of the syringe. And I don't think there's even enough surface area for any glue to hold.
I think 3/16" inner diameter would work pretty well but they sell it 100' at a time so it's like 4 times as expensive as the one I bought.
Does anyone have any idea how I could get the tube to lock to the syringe and not allow water to seep through? Or at least tell me how I can purchase these two items cheaply, and know for sure that they are compatible.
