Can i convert a regular desk into a built in?

Sorry, new to the forum so please forgive me in advance if i mess up.

I'm wondering if i can buy two desks and assemble it with everything but the top. Screw/nail them to a wall (much like kitchen cabinets), then put a slab of butcher block on top to have create a built in for the office area. This seems like it would be possible, but just wanted to get verification.
