Can't Figure out How to Remove Recessed Light Bulbs - Help

Hello-

These seems so stupid, but in my bathroom I have these recessed lightbulbs and I can't get them out of the socket. There seems to be a piece of glass between the bulb and my hand and I can't get the glass out to then remove the bulb.
