Is it difficult/expensive to add a timed on/off to appliances such as a stove?

I'm narcoleptic so I'm afraid to use the stove because I can instantly fall asleep and just burn the shit out of something or even start a fire. Would there be a way I could change the stove to turn itself off after a period of time or something like that? Or should I just try to find a stove that already has this feature?
