Building material question about a "space shuttle" home movie theatre

Hi! I'm trying to figure out a way to turn my basement into a sort of space shuttle experience, with seats and levers and buttons to push. I'm looking for a type of material for the walls of the small room (big enough for about four seats), but I have no idea what to use. I'm thinking something shiny like melamine sheets, but I don't think those are thick enough to hold the decorative parts of the shuttle. What would you recommend? Thanks!
