What things should I consider before starting to build a 16'x20' workshop?

So as a background, I am in the process of moving onto a 25-acre piece of land. It comes with plenty of trees and maybe 5 acres of just flat fields. The soil is quite soft and arable, it rains a healthy amount- quite great. I love to work with wood and make stuff- it's always been a fun thing to do.Here's the best pic I got right now of the area around- http://ift.tt/1SRSIfU With all these trees, I'd think a workshop is a perfect thing to make.

Before I start buying wood and working out plans, what should I consider before starting surely a long DIY project? I know if I want some machines (drills, table saw, saw mill, AC, etc) in there I have to power the structure. For now, I was thinking concrete floors and very well insulated walls (maybe even a bit of sound proofing) at least, otherwise it's still in the air. I have checked with the local laws regarding building a structure this size and permits to it already. But otherwise, I don't know what think about much more than that.

With that said, any help will be very much appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
