I live in an old Victorian era apartment in Australia, which has no insulation or heating and is ball-spasmingly freezing in winter.
One side of our flat gets a lot of afternoon sun, so I was thinking of building some sort of solar heated device that captures the sun during the day and raises the temperature by even a few degrees. We have other floor heaters and whatnot but they cost a bit in electricity.
I found this idea for a beer can heater that's more designed for outdoors, would anyone have an bright ideas for something that can be placed inside against a window? We're upstairs so have no outdoor area.
