[serious] HELP Just accidentally pulled my door handle too high. No longer sits "horizontal".

Probably wouldn't be an issue, but I'm home alone and I live with my landlord!

I have a few, very basic tools. (Hammer, screwdriver, large + small phillips and crosshead)

All I did was pull the handle up (as the latch is not correctly aligned), and then it clicked.

Door works as it should, except it can now exist in three states. Handle pulled down, in a catching position, or in it's new rest state where the handle is high up and does not latch.
