I recently purchased this backpack in red. I want to dye it black. After some research, others have used Rit Dye to dye nylon backpacks. However I am wondering if the backpack would end up black and stay black, or if some of the red would still show or end up showing after the black dye fades. Would bleaching the bag before dying help at all? And would the dye ever transfer onto me when I am wearing the pack over long periods of time?
