Shower door stuck on the wrong side of the seal

This morning, after my shower, I went to close the door behind me. the door swings out from the shower. For whatever careless reason, I shut the door a little too hard, and it ended up swinging right past the plastic seal/doorstopper. Now the door is stuck on the wrong side of the seal. I'm staying at a friend's place while they're out of town, so this is not my shower I'm pretty desperate to fix this quickly, without calling in outside help. Any advice would be very welcome.

The shower door is a frameless hinged glass door. It appears to hinge from metal plates at the top and bottom of the door. The plates are connected with two standard cross-slat screws on each plate. I'm a little nervous about undoing these, as it looks like the hinges are sealed with some sort of gasket material.

I've already tried bringing the door back thru the plastic seal, figuring that if it could swing thru one way, it should be able to find a path back. This has not been the case. The seal doesn't seem to want to bend back towards me, and I don't want to force the door and risk shattering it.

Please, if anyone has been in a similar situation and could share advice, I'd appreciate your help.
