Do I really need to let wood laminate flooring acclimate to my home for 48 hours before installation?

I bought the flooring from an environment that had controlled temperature and humidity (Home Depot). The home I am installing the flooring in does not even have power. Why should I let them sit in the house for 2 days before installing?

I normally follow manufacture instructions, but I am thinking about ignoring this one.
