Bit of a bind here.
I'm at my mother in law's house to help her recover from a hip replacement and part of that is I'm rebuilding a handrail for her stairs.
She got out of the hospital earlier than expected and so the handrail was put in unfinished.
It is, however, fairly slick. I need something fairly quick drying that will also add some grip. Right now I've got a jug of boiled linseed oil, but I suspect that's the wrong tool.
Please help?
