[Help Request] Leaky PVC Drain Pipe

I have a 3" PVC drain pipe coming down from my 2nd floor bathroom and it leaks in the basement at the 90 degree bend where it goes from vertical to horzontal. My problem is not so much fixing the leak, I could remove the elbow and put in a rubber one or a new piece of PVC. My problem is getting in there to work on it.

Diagrams front view and side view if a joist was removed.

The 90 degree bend is made up of two 45 degree pieces (I have no idea why they did that) and the leak is where the two 45s meet. it is so tight between the joists and the basement wall supports, I can only get one hand in there at a time and can't really get any tools in there.

I consulted a plumber. He said he could do it but would have to come in from above which would require cutting a hole in the wall on the 1st floor as well as cutting a hole in the subfloor to really get at it. He estimated $500. He suggested I try slathering it in silicone caulk first for a cheap fix. I did that but it didn't work. I now couldn't remove the caulk if I wanted to because I'm working blind with one hand and a razor blade.

I also bought a can of spray sealant but I can't get the can behind the pipe so that won't work either.

Any thoughts, suggestions? I hope I've provided enough detail.
