My father is a recovering cancer patient with short term memory loss and dementia. He loves to walk but we need to know where he is when he walks. Anything that can help us?

So my dad's birthday is coming up and we want to get him something like a vivo fit or something like that. That can give us a real time location, track sleep, calories, and possibly heart rate if it has the monitor.

So the challenge is my mom wants some way to track where he is at home from her iPhone or from her laptop. Would the new vivo fit with GPS be able to do this?

My dad doesn't have a smart phone and the farthest he gets from the house is maybe a mile or two.

Beyond that we like the idea of the vivo because it would track his sleep (he usually can't remember if he got up during the night to watch tv or not) how much he walks, and his heart rate if it has a heart rate monitor. All of this would also be great info for his doctor.

If not a vivo we are open to other ideas.
