Setting up a new home theater PC / HTPC looking for best software / hardware.

Looking to create a new HTPC - hardware and software combo. Curious on what people are using these days?

Was using apple tv 2 and xbmc until i updated the software; and turned it into a expensive paperweight.

Requirements: netflix amazon hulu plex web browser must support touchscreen hdmi

Hardware: Asus Vivopc with 8gigs of ram / i5 cpu? other minipc's?

Roku is one of the closest pre-packaged solutions; but it sadly doesn't support a touchscreen.
