Camera lenses scratches question, smartphones and regular cameras

Hi. Why don't they use Gorilla Glass to make the crystals in the cameras (the one that protects the lens) to avoid this scratches?:

I know GG its not perfect, but it would be more protection than the regular crystal that is used now, besides, if its already used for the whole screen, why don't take a little more for the camera? I think its something too obvious for the companies to not think about it, even if it cost a little more in the price.
