So installed a Hunter ceiling fan in my master bedroom. Just bought the house and there wasn't a ceiling fan there to begin with, just a cap on top of a wired electrical box in the ceiling. Installed the fan with the wiring as follows White->White, Black -> Black, Ground -> Ground. There was a red wire coming from the switch and a blue wire in the ceiling fan (I assume for lighting?) So I connected these two together (there is no light fixture on the ceiling fan I purchased). So I turn on the celing fan and it hums, but the blades won't turn unless I push them, even then they go really slow. So...did I wire this up badly or is the capacitor bad in a brand new fan? Thanks!
