I need to cut some pergo laminate flooring to fill a 1-1/4" hole my plumber just accidentally drilled in the floor. He held his template backwards. What's the best way to cut a plug of pergo this size? Don't have a drill press or band saw.

It's a perfectly round 1-1/4" hole. I have plenty of scrap pieces of pergo.

Also he did it directly on a seam, but I'll just have to live with that.

I can provide pictures if needed, but I think it's pretty easy to imagine the scenario.

At my disposal I have small hand saws, a hand held jig saw, and a cordless drill, among other (likely irrelevant) tools.

I am thinking for the seam, I can cut a groove in my plug and stain the exposed groove to match.

What I'm hung up on is how exactly to cut a perfect plug out of pergo. Any advice would be much appreciated.
