Trying to finish my basement staircase but I have a dilemma with the ceiling. The finished part of the ceiling butts up against a sheet of MDF unevenly. My plan is to keep the ceiling joists exposed and paint them white, but I don't know what to do with this joint. Any suggestions. http://1drv.ms/1VSPc23
