Best way to make clear resin panel containing small metal parts?

I thought it would be awesome if I did this with a cheaper miyota movement after I'm done working on it. I don't need any help with the watchmaking portion (dis-assembly, handling of the small parts), but I was wondering if you all had any experience with these sorts of "displays".

Is there some sort of resin I could cast them in? Like fill in layer by layer?

I'm sure there's an easy way to do this, just wanted some feedback. Thanks!
