I have a door knob that I need to replace, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it off the door.
There are no visible screws on the outside. I googled around, and most of the advice is to look for a tab or small screw hole. However, my door knob doesn't have either. It does have a small button (pictured below), but it doesn't seem to do anything when pressed. I've tried pretty much every combination of pressing the button and twisting/pulling the knob. I'm able to pop the plate off, and I can see larger screws underneath, but it won't come off far enough, and I can't see anything else that looks like it will cause it to unlatch.
