let me break it down for you. Battery was dying, said screw it, got a new battery, new stator and a new RR with all new harnesses and wires. now. I am an auto mechanic, not a bike mechanic, so im not completely stupid. but here is my issue now after putting the new stator in.
battery with key off. 11.6 volts. battery with key on. 0.50 volts.
started with a jump pack ---------
battery at idle. 11.8 - 12.04 volts battery at 5K RPMs. 4.5 volts
i dont know whats going on. i read at 5k rpm the battery should be at 14-15 volts. i dont get why its dropping. once i bring it back to throttle, it will either die, or it will go back to 11.6 volts.
i need help with this one. side note. when i ripped the bike apart all the wires are fine, no black burns, nothing chewed, nothing exposed. all good. everything looks almost new still, this is why i dont get it. my gut tells me to get another battery and hope for the best, and if not then blow up my bike.
