Fused Connection Unit - can't see a fuse?

I took the top heating element out of my oven/grill (broiler for US readers) to clean everything.

When I put it back in, and switched oven on - the fuse blew. So far, so straightforward.

However, I can't find a fuse in what I believe is the Connection Unit - http://ift.tt/2aMwGae - am I just not looking hard enough? The wiring is quite tight, so can't pull the face all the way off to look inside. And I don't want to start unscrewing all the internal connectors if I'm doing the wrong thing.

There is a more 'normal' fused connection unit nearby - with the fuse in an accessible place from the front - but I think that's only for the range/hood/extractor fan...
