The shared door in my apartment's hallway is hellishly loud when it closes, and I seem to be the only person that stands there for the extra second to hold it and close it quietly (Confirmation bias though I guess, since I only ever hear the people who let it slam...)
I'm thinking I could try sticking a little piece of foam or something in between the part of the door that hits the loudest, and maybe another small piece inside where the little doo-hickey from the door handle clicks in place inside of the frame. Any suggestions of specific products or materials that may be good for this?
Bonus question is that my neighbor's apartment doors also slam super loud on their own, and they never wait a second to close them quietly, is there any possible way to make someone's door close more quietly without having to speak to my neighbors lol.
Thanks for any advice!
