Hi /r/DIY,
This Spring I'll be re-doing our kitchen. We saw a really nice kitchen set up at the local IKEA that we're interested in, so we're wondering about IKEA's Kitchen Installation Service.
I have some renovation knowledge, so my plan is to rip out all of the old cabinets and fixtures. Repaint the wall. Re-do the floors. And really just prepare the area for the new cabinets and counters.
All I'd really need IKEA to do is measure the space, order in the appropriate cabinets/counters, hang the cabinets and install the new range hood. The rest (install the counters, floor-level cabinets, and connect the plumbing) I can do myself.
But I've never used them before. How reliable are these guys? And how competitive is their pricing for their installation services?
