Hi, I have recently bought an exhaust and there is some minor surface irregularities on the carbon endcap. It's probably not very noticable once fitted, but I'd like to touch it up a little. Here's what I've already read:
I need some solvent-free gloss paint/finish to fix the irregularities. I will probably be doing this with a bit of wire to distribute it into the tiny holes.
Once dry I'm probably going to have to sand the epoxy and fillings, as I have read with a lot of patience from fine sandpaper to extremely fine sandpaper to make everything plain and completely glossy again. Also probably wet sanding.
My question is: Do I have to pay attention to anything else, did I miss anything and/or can something horribly go wrong with the process I just explained?
As you can see there's tiny holes and a little bit of whitish discoloration which I both want to try and get rid of!
