So I have these speakers that I acquired during college (showed up in my basement after a crazy night...I never asked questions) that I have lugged around with me for a few years. They are pretty big and the sound quality is still good so I haven't had any motivation to get rid of them; however, they connect to this big grey box (amp? receiver?) that can play tapes or CDs and has a terrible interface for switching inputs/turning on/off. So I am looking to get rid of the box and make the speakers wireless. I found several adapters (Rocki, Logitech etc.) that would do it but I have run into two problems:
The speakers have wires instead of jacks. These wires are usually clamped into the back of the big grey box but most modern equipment doesn't support this.
The speakers require power from the grey box.
Is there a gadget out there that can both power the speakers and act as a bluetooth/wifi emitter?
Here's a pic of the speakers (1 of 2) http://ift.tt/1adDddq
