Wall Mounted Tablet

I decided to wall mount a tablet to use for a few things. First it will run my home automation / security application, two it will access all of my home security IP cameras and my AndroiDVR, third it will act as an intercom system and be connected to the same set up in my master bedroom (bonus the intercom app works on phones to so if you are wandering the house it can also call you). Also it will have power without seeing the cable, will not need to use the power button to operate and will act as a digital photo frame (can play generic photos or specific streams or even personalized photos). Also, it still functions as a full tablet. I took an RCA android tablet (WalMart Black Friday Special) and secured 4 magnets inside of the casing. I also installed a Qi wireless receiver (the key to charging without cables). I used duct tape to secure the magnets as they are not going to go through the case this is just to make sure they don't slide inside the backing. Then I used a blank wall plate and a low voltage mount for the plate. Inside the plate I secured 4 magnets (check polarity with the magnets inside the tablet) again with duct tape. I tried double sided tape but it didn't work as well and placed more medium between the magnets which reduces their pull. Then I took a Qi wireless charging pad apart, and took the coil with board and mounted that inside the wall plate as well. I placed the wall plate horizontally because I prefer the tablet horizontally and it lined up better. I made sure to center the tablet on the wall, which meant the wall plate was slightly off center. A micro USB with a 90 degree angle (make sure you get the appropriate direction) connects to the charger, then runs directly behind the wall plate out into the closet where it is connected to a USB charger. The photos are run using the Day Frame app. It is pretty nifty because the application has "hot" spots on the clock and weather icon, so touching those spots launches directly another app of your choosing. I am using the Wave application for an intercom system and so far it works very well. I haven't tested it extensively. The home screen of the tablet is a number of tiles from IP Cam Viewer which updated every 30 seconds, so I don't need to launch the app fully to see selected cameras right away. On the tablet in my bedroom I am going to run tasker with the Motion Detector app running so that it will not stay on all day (and especially night) but will wake up when approached. Total cost are approximately $50 for each setup. Most expensive piece is the Tablet, followed by the 90 degree charging cable ~ $7, Qi receiver ~ $5, Qi charger ~ $4, magnets ~ $3 ($12 for 30 of them, used 8), Duct tape, low voltage box and wall plate I had on hand but figure a couple bucks for those.
