Alright, I am just a regular joe, but my life changed last night. I purchased an Amazon Echo. At 45 years of age, I don't think I have seen/heard a better piece of tech in my life. Sure at this time, she has pretty good functionality, but what it could mean for the planet Earth and ALL of it's citizens, I am not sure I can describe-my mind blows a little. I know, my wife thinks I have lost my mind and she may be right, there are so many things I see as possibilities with this tech. SERIOUSLY, if you are a web designer and you are not making your client's web site interact with Alexa- That customer will be out of business and is missing out on a huge paradigm shift. I think of all the companies that have promised us "we bring good things to life" and the walmart's /Targets/Joe's Hardware store/ Ect....This piece of tech make's all of them disappear. WOW, I just realized how crazy I sound. I told my wife that this is the first BIG step towards "Jarvis". When, not if, Amazon gets the drone concept down (and I think they're close) along with devices that connect to Alexa, there is a whole new world to be developed. Additionally, Alexa, in the short 14 hours I have owned her, I counted 10 devices that she makes obsolete- Clock radio, sound machine, pad of paper, pen, ect...Like I said, I am a regular joe and you Redditors are so smart, get on this tech-it's the future. All I ask is don't let new tech kill me or my family, or anyone's (I guess I should throw that in). Alright, I think I got it off my chest. In my world, there isn't really anything I have that I can just stand and rant for a little, I thank Reddit for that platform. Peace to all and thank you for your time.
