Afternoon, All.
I have some old lawn furniture, table and two chairs, "handmade" by my father years and years ago that finally needs a little tender loving care.
Entirely welded metal, there is superficial rust finally coming through some of the original paint.
I'm willing to wire-brush the thing to knock off any loose stuff but then pretty much just wanna spray paint it and be done.
-
PAINT: Seems to me that in the past I've read about some kind of paint that chemically bonds with rust??? ...to halt that process. Am I crazy?
-
I'm hoping for a spray paint available from HD or Lowes so I can do it this weekend. Color selection would be nice but is secondary.
-
CLEANING: Short of wire-brushing and wiping down, is there any chemical cleaning or prep I should do to improve adherence of the new paint?
Thanks everyone for your time and help.
