raised bed against house

Hi r/DIY.

We are currently renovating the backyard, and wanted to place an inexpensive raised bed for vegetables and whatnot. Bought the stuff at home depot and went onto putting it together.

Just wondering, how far does it have to be against the wall of the house? I read around and it said around 1inch to just enough where you can walk around it. What is ideal? I attached a pic of how the bed looks like as of now, this bed gets sun all day if that makes a difference. Thanks.
