I have seen a lot of great use of Edison bulbs lately, and I have a couple... eight.... empty bottles of scotch. The wife has a trick where she can remove the bottom of the scotch bottles.
What I would like to do is string a lightbulb socket through the neck of several of the bottles and hang them from a hat/coat tree. Ideally I can find a metal tree and run the power cords down through the center pole with a button switch somewhere in line.
I have a functioning knowledge of electricity (above "wow that hurt" below major soldering, but with the Google), but I need advice on the socket, the power cords, suggestions on how to hang (from cord, or string some metal links through?) and bringing multiple power cords together into one line safely.
p.s. - I'm not above buying a swag kit, it just didn't seem to fit my needs
